Born in Slovenia, Luka Doncic was already a superstar in Europe before entering the NBA at age 19. He led his club Real Madrid to a EuroLeague title and captured the EuroLeague MVP award in 2018.
After being taken fourth overall in the 2018 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks for Trae Young and a 2019 protected first round pick. Doncic was named Rookie of the Year for 2018-2019 and selected as a starter for the 2020 All-Star Game.
